In September David Cavaye, C. Hoare & Co.’s Chief Investment Officer and Robert Jeffree, our Head of Fund Selection, gave two investment briefing presentations. One was to a group of professional advisers and the other to a group of discretionary investment customers.

David provided an update on the economy and how the recovery is beginning to gain traction as well as the investment case behind a few recent investment decisions. Robert discussed the higher levels of fund manager turnover that had been seen recently.

In the Q & A session that followed there was an interesting debate about the UK’s role in the global economy as the recovery takes hold.
